Le club lombard n'a pas eu à chercher longtemps son successeur. Selon le journaliste Fabrizio Romano, Simone Inzaghi sera bientôt annoncé comme nouvel entraîneur des Nerazzurri. Il devrait signer dans les prochaines heures. Inzaghi entraînait la Lazio Rome depuis 2016.
